A Friend of the AFA Retires

     After 35 years of governmental service, John Pessala has retired from the Family Court Bench. He became a friend of the AFA early in his public service career when he was counsel to County Executive Tom Gulotta, and has remained a friend throughout the years.

     Judge Pessala is not planning to just fade away. He will be quite active planning to practice law with the firm of Russo & Pedranghelu in Hicksville. He also will be associated with Sutton Associates of Hicksville, an investigative and research firm.

     We were fortunate to have a strong working relationship with John during some of our stormy years. He was always true to his word, and was always ready with good advice.

     We wish John all manner of success and look forward to continuing our relationship.
