   ELI Testimony

            On October 3rd, during the second day of hearings on the ELI arbitration, the AFA President, a member of the arbitration panel, had occasion to question an administration witness. The testimony of that witness proves conclusively that the controversial ELI program was a seven year failure.

            AFA President Charles Loiacono gives a detailed version of that testimony in “The Union’s Position” on page 2.

AFA Elections

The biennial AFA elections are

about to take place.

Mahadev Kumbar, elections chairman, has examined petitions and accepted the names of candidates for all department representative positions, as well as all officer positions.

The list of candidates is printed on page 5 of this issue.

Schroeder Resigns

Bill Schroeder, a 12 year member of the Board of Trustees, has resigned.

             Schroeder was one of the most active members of the Board. He was committed to the pursuit of excellence here at NCC, and worked for harmonious relations on campus. His wise counsel will be missed
