           At its February meeting, the AFA Executive Board unanimously selected County Executive Ed Mangano as this year’s Man of the Year.

              In a major upset, Mangano came from behind to win the election for county executive. “We may have been the only ones in the county to predict that Ed Mangano would beat Tom Suozzi,” said AFA President Charles Loiacono.

.The AFA endorsed Mangano and got out the vote big time. From the first time he was sworn in as a county legislator five terms ago, he has been a supporter of the adjunct faculty.

            Ed Mangano has a long list of accomplishments—much too long to include in this blurb. You’ll hear more about him when he is presented with the Man of the Year Award. On
